Qualified child and adolescent counsellors, CYP practitioners and appropriately experienced counsellors working in child-facing services.

Description

This specialist CPD programme explores developmental considerations associated with Autism and ADHD and considers how neurodivergence may influence communication, sensory experiences, emotional regulation, relationships and engagement in therapy.

Participants will explore practical and creative ways to adapt therapeutic work to individual needs, alongside the importance of understanding family and school contexts, maintaining appropriate boundaries, and responding thoughtfully to safeguarding and ethical dilemmas.

Through case discussions, reflective exercises and applied learning, the programme aims to support practitioners in developing more responsive, inclusive and neurodiversity-informed therapeutic relationships.
